Tomatoes

Are you addicted to lycopene?

We can help! This season we are proud to be growing 93 varieties of tomatoes, giving you lycopene addicts (and those who are not) many different avenues to get your fix!

Originally thought to be poisonous, tomatoes weren’t routinely consumed in America until the 1800’s. Now they are one of the top purchased produce items from most grocery stores. While you may find some of our varieties at the farmers’ market, you won’t find the fruit of most of the plants we offer even in specialty grocery stores.

We start all of our tomatoes from seed, and they are organically grown. We offer varieties that will tolerate cool nights, high altitude and containers/small gardens. We have extensive varieties of beefsteaks, cherries & heirlooms in a rainbow of colors to choose from. With all of these lovely tomatoes to select from there is bound to be something we have to fit your garden bill.

This year we’ve partnered with Gary Ibsen and Dagma Lacey from  www.tomatofest.com, who grow 500-600 varieties of organic heirlooms and open-pollinated (no hybrids) tomatoes every year. After much research, we have obtained 60 varieties of certified organic seeds from them.
